Overview
The Garmin 010-12672-01 is a flush mount kit for compatible 7-inch echoMAP Plus and echoMAP UHD chartplotters, letting you recess the display into a flat helm or console panel for a cleaner front profile.
This style of install is useful when the unit stays on the boat and you want fewer snag points around the dash. The template and instructions help you lay out the cutout so the bezel sits evenly and the unit seats square in the panel.
Key features
- Flush mounting option for compatible 7-inch echoMAP Plus and echoMAP UHD 7Xcv and 7Xsv models
- Positions the display tight to the dash or console for a low-profile helm layout
- Template supports accurate cutout layout on most flat mounting surfaces
- Mounting hardware secures the unit to the panel after the cutout is made
- Routes cabling behind the surface for a tidier install and easier wipe-down around the screen

Compatibility and fit
This kit is for Garmin echoMAP Plus and echoMAP UHD 7-inch 7Xcv and 7Xsv units, including 72, 73, 74, and 75 model variants. Confirm the exact model on your display label before ordering, since flush mount kits are size and series specific.
Plan the mounting location so there is room behind the panel for cable connectors and a gentle bend radius. Leave enough clearance to connect and service power, transducer, and any networking cables without putting strain on the plugs.
Installation and setup
Use the supplied template to mark the cutout and fastener locations, then dry-fit the unit before final tightening. On cored fiberglass or wood panels, sealing any exposed core at the cut edge helps prevent moisture intrusion over time.
It is usually easiest to route and connect cables before the unit is seated fully in the opening, especially on tight center console and helm pod installations.
Use cases on board
A flush mount setup makes sense on boats where crew move past the helm often, lines are handled near the console, or the dash is kept covered between runs. It also suits clean helm layouts on bay boats, offshore center consoles, bass boats, and cruising sailboats where you want electronics to sit tidy and out of the way.
