Overview
The Blue Sea Systems 5064 is an in-line fuse holder for ATO and ATC blade fuses in DC circuits up to 32V, with a 30A maximum fuse rating and pre-attached 12 AWG pigtails.
It gives you a straightforward way to add overcurrent protection to a single circuit without using a larger fuse block. On a boat, that is useful when you are protecting an accessory feed for electronics, lighting, pumps, or other small DC loads where an in-line connection makes more sense than a panel-mounted holder.
The fuse is sold separately, so the final circuit protection can be matched to the wire size and the load you are protecting. That makes this holder a practical replacement part as well as a simple choice for new 12V or 24V installs.
Key features
- Accepts standard ATO and ATC blade fuses
- 30A maximum fuse amperage
- Rated for DC systems up to 32V, which suits both 12V and 24V marine electrical setups
- Comes with 12 AWG pigtails already attached for direct splicing into the circuit
- Fuse is not included, so the circuit can be matched with the correct amperage for the application
Compatibility and fit
This holder is made for one in-line ATO or ATC fuse and works where you want protection in the wire run itself instead of at a fuse panel. It fits marine DC systems that use common automotive-style blade fuses and need a holder rated up to 30A.
Before installing, confirm the chosen fuse value matches the circuit requirements and the conductor size used on the boat. The 12 AWG leads make it a good fit for many accessory circuits, but the final fuse choice should always follow the needs of the load and the rest of the wiring in that run.
Installation and setup
The pre-wired pigtails keep installation simple when you are replacing a damaged holder or adding protection to a new circuit. On most boat DC systems, an in-line fuse holder like this is installed on the positive feed and placed as close to the power source as the circuit layout allows.
Because this is an open in-line holder rather than a sealed waterproof style, it makes the most sense in a protected mounting area such as behind the helm, inside a console, under a dash, or in a cabin electrical space where it is not exposed to direct spray.
Use on board
This is a good match for boat owners, installers, and yards that need a simple holder for branch-circuit protection without stepping up to a larger distribution block. It works well in protected spaces on center consoles, cruisers, sailboats, and utility boats where accessory wiring needs a clean and serviceable fuse point.
