Overview
The Lumishore 010-14454-00 is a Simrad and B&G MFD conversion cable used to link a Lumishore Command Center to the display network so lighting control can be handled from the helm screen. It is used with EOS underwater lights and other compatible Lumishore lighting systems that support MFD control.
The connection is made over Ethernet using the Navico-style network path used by Simrad and B&G, and it plugs into the MFD’s network expansion port rather than a standard RJ45 jack. For the run between devices, use the correct Navico network cable for your Simrad or B&G system, not a generic Ethernet patch cable.
Once connected, lighting changes can be made without leaving the helm, which helps when docking after dark or changing scenes at anchor. Route the cable like any other electronics lead on a boat: keep it away from sharp edges and heat, add chafe protection where it passes through bulkheads, and secure it so vibration does not work connections loose.
Key features
- Connects a Lumishore Command Center to Simrad and B&G MFDs for on-screen lighting control.
- Interfaces with the Navico-style network connection used by Simrad/B&G Ethernet cabling, not a generic RJ45 patch lead.
- Supports MFD control of EOS and other compatible Lumishore lights when paired with an MFD-capable command center.
- Helps keep lighting adjustments on the same display used for navigation and boat systems at the helm.
Compatibility and fit
This cable is for boats running a compatible Lumishore command center and a Simrad or B&G MFD that has an Ethernet network expansion port. Compatible Simrad models include NSO evo3 and evo3S, NSS evo3 and evo3S, NSX, IDS, and GO models (GO7 XSR, GO9, GO12). Compatible B&G models include Zeus3 Glass Helm, Zeus3 and Zeus3S, and Vulcan models (Vulcan 7R, 9, 12).
It is a data cable for MFD integration, not the power feed or the control wiring that runs out to the light fixtures. If your lighting system is controlled only by a standalone switch or controller with no MFD support, this is not the right connection.
Installation and setup
Install it between the command center and the Simrad/B&G network side of the system, then complete the run with the proper Navico network cable used in your electronics network. Leave a small service loop behind the display and at the command center so future servicing does not strain the connectors.
Keep the connection point protected from spray and washdowns, and seal any field-installed connectors using the appropriate waterproof cover or gland for the installation. After the command center is on the network and configured, lighting control is accessed through the MFD interface.
Use on board
This connection makes sense when underwater lights are part of night docking, swim platform time, or cockpit lighting scenes and you want those changes available on the display you already use underway. It is also a clean way to add helm control during refits without reworking the light fixtures themselves.
Who it suits
A good match for boats that already have a Lumishore command center and want lighting control from a Simrad or B&G screen. It also fits upgrades where the goal is to keep the existing lighting system and bring control into the MFD menus at the helm.
