Overview
The Raymarine T914 is a retractable through-hull transducer that reads depth and water temperature for Raymarine wireless instrument systems using the T122 Wireless NMEA Interface. It operates at 235 kHz and is intended for installations where boat speed is already available from GPS, so it adds depth and temperature data without adding a speed paddlewheel.
This active transducer fits a 2 inch diameter opening, equal to 51 mm, and supports hull thickness up to 2.125 inches, equal to 55 mm. The retractable body makes cleaning more practical when growth builds up around the sensor, while the right-angle cable exit helps keep wiring controlled in tight bilges, under bunks, or other crowded interior spaces near the through-hull location.
Key features
- Reads depth and water temperature for Raymarine wireless instrument setups.
- Works with the T122 Wireless NMEA Interface for systems using GPS for boat speed.
- Operates at 235 kHz for depth sounding in compatible Raymarine instrument installations.
- Fits a 2 inch diameter opening, equal to 51 mm.
- Accepts hull thickness up to 2.125 inches, equal to 55 mm.
- Retractable construction allows the sensor to be removed for cleaning.
- Right-angle cable exit helps with routing where vertical clearance is limited.
- Does not include speed sensing, making it a depth and temperature option rather than a triducer.
Installation and fit
This is a thru-hull transducer, so installation requires access to the inside of the hull and a suitable location where the sensor can sit in clean water flow. Before drilling, confirm the 2 inch mounting diameter, the maximum 55 mm hull thickness, and enough interior space for the retractable body and right-angle cable routing.
Because the unit can be withdrawn for cleaning, it is a practical match for boats that spend time in the water and need periodic removal of growth around the sensor. It suits owners maintaining Raymarine wireless instrument systems on cruising sailboats, club racers, and smaller powerboats where GPS is already handling speed data.
System compatibility
The transducer connects to the Raymarine T122 Wireless NMEA Interface and is used where depth and temperature need to be added to a wireless instrument setup. It is not a CHIRP fishfinder transducer and should not be treated as a replacement for a sonar imaging or speed-through-water sensor.
