Overview
The Garmin 010-13070-00 is a transom-mount bracket for compatible Garmin 4-, 8-, or 12-pin transducers. It gives you a straightforward way to mount the transducer on the stern and keep it steady so your sonar can stay readable as the boat speed changes.
This is a good match when you are replacing damaged mounting hardware, moving an existing transducer to a new boat, or setting up a transom install where you want easy access for inspection and cleaning.
Key features
- Transom-mount bracket for compatible Garmin 4-pin, 8-pin, and 12-pin transducers
- Supports consistent sonar returns across a range of running speeds when the transducer is positioned in clean water
- Commonly used with GT-series transducers including GT20, GT22HW, GT23, GT30, GT34, GT36, GT40, GT41, GT50, GT51, GT52HW, GT54UHD, and GT56
- Practical replacement option when an existing transom mount is worn, cracked, or missing
Compatibility and fit
Confirm your transducer is a Garmin model that uses a 4-pin, 8-pin, or 12-pin connector and is intended for transom mounting. If you are swapping from an older bracket, compare how the transducer fastens to the mount and how the bracket lands on the transom before drilling new holes.
Installation and setup
Install the bracket on a flat area of the transom where the transducer can sit at the correct depth and angle, and where water flow stays clean while running. Keep it clear of strakes, steps, and prop wash as much as possible, since aerated water is a common cause of dropouts at speed.
Seal any new holes with marine sealant, then route the cable with a drip loop and secure it so it cannot chafe on the transom, get pinched by a tilt mechanism, or tug on the transducer connector.
Maintenance and care
After the first few trips and after long runs or trailering, recheck the mount for looseness. Rinse salt spray off the transducer area and remove any growth on or around the transducer face that can interfere with readings.
