Overview
The Victron Energy Lithium NG 25,6V Battery is a LiFePO4 battery series for 24V-class onboard power systems, available here in 100 Ah, 200 Ah, and 300 Ah capacities. Each battery has a nominal voltage of 25,6 V and uses lithium iron phosphate chemistry, making it suited to service banks that need steady energy storage for inverters, DC loads, electronics, refrigeration, windlasses, and other house-power demands on a boat.
The range covers nominal energy ratings of 2560 Wh, 5120 Wh, and 7680 Wh depending on capacity. The batteries have an IP65 protection class, M8 power connections, and cell-level measurement for voltages and temperatures along with battery current, which helps when the bank is used with a compatible Victron NG BMS.
These batteries are not drop-in standalone batteries. A Lynx Smart BMS NG is required and purchased separately, so the final installation should be planned as part of a complete Victron lithium system with suitable charging sources, cabling, fusing, and space for secure mounting.
Key features
- 25,6 V LiFePO4 battery range for 24V-class marine house banks and onboard DC energy storage.
- Available in 100 Ah, 200 Ah, and 300 Ah capacities to match different reserve-capacity and installation-space needs.
- IP65 protection class helps the battery tolerate the damp, service-area conditions common around lockers, technical spaces, and marine electrical compartments.
- Cell voltage, cell temperature, and battery current measurement support detailed monitoring through the compatible NG BMS system.
- M8 threaded power connections give a secure termination point for properly sized marine battery cables.
- Charge voltage range of 28 V to 28,4 V and 27 V float voltage help confirm charger compatibility during system design.
- Mounting can be handled with straps or brackets, and the battery may be placed upright or on its side as long as the terminals do not face down.
- Up to 50 batteries can be used per compatible BMS, allowing larger banks when the vessel electrical design calls for more storage.
Variants
This Victron Energy Lithium NG 25,6V Battery range is offered in multiple capacity configurations.
The capacity changes between variants, along with the nominal energy, current ratings, dimensions, and weight. The 25,6 V nominal voltage, LiFePO4 chemistry, IP65 protection class, M8 power connections, and requirement for a compatible NG BMS remain consistent across these three variants.
- BAT524110620: 100 Ah capacity. This option suits compact 24V lithium banks where space and weight matter, with 2560 Wh nominal energy and an estimated weight of 19 kg.
- BAT524120620: 200 Ah capacity. This mid-range option increases storage for heavier house loads, with 5120 Wh nominal energy and an estimated weight of 37 kg.
- BAT524130620: 300 Ah capacity. This higher-capacity option is used when the vessel needs longer run time between charging periods, with 7680 Wh nominal energy and an estimated weight of 52 kg.
Installation and setup
Plan the installation around a complete Victron NG lithium system rather than treating the battery as a direct swap for a lead-acid battery. The required NG BMS handles protection and communication functions, while the rest of the system must be matched to the bank size, charge sources, inverter load, cable length, and expected duty cycle.
These batteries can be connected in series, parallel, or series-parallel configurations for suitable system designs. In a marine installation, cable sizing, overcurrent protection, ventilation around related electronics, and secure restraint are just as important as the battery selection itself, especially on boats that see vibration, heel, or rough sea conditions.
Electrical and system integration
The batteries support high-current DC systems when installed with correct conductors and protection. Maximum continuous discharge current is 100 A, 200 A, or 300 A depending on the selected capacity, with matching 1C continuous charge ratings for the same models.
Monitoring is handled through the NG ecosystem, with Bluetooth available in the BMS rather than inside the battery itself. This setup fits vessels already using Victron chargers, inverter-chargers, GX monitoring, or other Victron energy components, where a coordinated lithium bank is preferred over isolated battery hardware.
Mounting and marine use
The IP65 housing, bracket or strap mounting options, and side-mount allowance give installers useful flexibility when fitting the bank in a lazarette, machinery space, under-berth technical area, or dedicated battery compartment. The battery should not be mounted with terminals facing down.
This series is a strong match for cruisers, fishing boats, and refit projects that need a managed 24V lithium house bank with high usable energy and detailed battery data. It is also relevant for larger DC loads where the owner wants longer run time and tighter monitoring than a conventional lead-acid bank can provide.
