Overview
The Attwood Marine SP-19000 is a Snap-Lock seat mount for 1.77 in. pedestal systems that use a 1-3/4 in. D post. It has a 3 degree tilt and an E-coated steel body, which makes it a straightforward replacement or new-install part when you need the seat to lock onto the pedestal instead of lifting free.
This mount sits at the seat end of a compatible pedestal setup and is built for the Attwood Snap-Lock 1.77 seating system. That lock-up is useful on boats where the seat sees spray, vibration, and frequent movement around the cockpit or helm.
Key features
- Fits Snap-Lock 1.77 pedestal systems that use a 1-3/4 in. D post
- Built-in 3 degree tilt at the seat mount
- Snap-Lock connection holds the mount onto the post for a more secure seat attachment underway
- E-coated steel construction helps resist corrosion in wet marine use
- Black finish works with common pedestal and seat hardware layouts
Compatibility and fit
Check the pedestal size before ordering. This mount is for the 1.77 in. Snap-Lock family and a 1-3/4 in. D post, so it should be matched to that seating setup rather than treated as a universal seat mount. On a replacement job, compare the post shape, diameter, and locking style at the top of the pedestal.
It is a good match for helm, passenger, or fishing-seat positions that use removable pedestal seating and need the seat mount to stay positively engaged with the post.
Installation and setup
The SP-19000 is used when mounting the seat onto the top of a compatible pedestal. The 3 degree tilt gives the seat a slight rear angle, which can feel more natural at the helm or in a leaning position. Once installed, make sure the mount is fully snapped and locked onto the post before running the boat or trailering.
On boats that stay outside or get frequent washdowns, rinsing salt residue off the seating hardware and checking fastener tightness as part of normal maintenance will help keep the finish in better shape and the locking action working as it should.
Use on board
This seat mount makes sense on fishing boats, ski boats, and family runabouts that already use the Snap-Lock 1.77 pedestal platform. It is especially useful where seats are removed, reinstalled, or repositioned through the season and still need a locked connection once back in place.
