Overview
The Garmin 010-02952-00 is a Signal RM 100 remote station for controlling a compatible Garmin Signal VHF marine radio from a second location such as a flybridge, upper helm, or cockpit station. It gives remote access to VHF, DSC, AIS, intercom, and other supported radio functions through a 3.5 inch color IPS capacitive touchscreen with 640 x 480 resolution and a 1,000 nit backlight.
The head unit measures 75 x 160 x 29 mm and connects by Garmin BlueNet to Garmin Signal VHF 400 or VHF 220 radios. With a 9.6 - 32 VDC input range and an IPX7 water rating, it fits common 12V and 24V DC boat systems and exposed helm areas where spray and weather are part of normal use.
Key features

Compatibility and fit
This remote station is for Garmin Signal VHF 400 and Garmin Signal VHF 220 systems. It is not a stand-alone VHF radio; it needs the compatible Garmin Signal radio on the network to handle radio operation.
The compact head unit keeps the front of the helm layout tidy, while the supplied fist mic gives the operator a familiar push-to-talk interface. Keep the compass-safe distance in mind during layout: 70 cm for the head unit and 40 cm for the fist mic.
Electrical and audio integration
The remote station power and external audio cable is 2 m long and includes a fuse, and the fist mic power cable is also 2 m with a fuse. Typical current draw at 12 VDC is 400 mA for the head unit and 90 mA for the fist mic, with listed maximum draw of 1.8 A and 0.9 A respectively.
For audio layout, the fist mic supports 5 W RMS speaker output, and the system supports an external speaker up to 15 W RMS at 4 ohms. That makes the station useful where the operator needs radio audio at an upper helm, tower, or louder cockpit area.
Installation and use
The RM 100 is a good match for boats with more than one operating position, including pilothouse boats, center consoles with towers, sportfish flybridges, and cruising boats with an upper helm. Plan the installation around the 75 x 160 x 29 mm head unit, mic placement, power cable routing, and Garmin BlueNet cable path before cutting the console.
