Overview
The Attwood Marine 911422 is a recessed hot and cold freshwater faucet-shower system for flush mounting in a transom or under a gunwale. It uses a 6 foot hose with a replaceable hand-held shower spray, and it fits a required cutout of 8-1/2 inches by 4 inches.
This style of shower box gives you a fixed rinse point on deck without leaving the spray head and controls exposed. The hinged cover keeps the shower spray and faucet controls protected when the system is closed, which helps keep the installation tidy around the cockpit or swim area.
It works well on boats with a pressurized freshwater system where a stern or side-deck rinse point makes sense for a quick washdown, a swim platform rinse, or a cockpit cleanup after fishing or a day at anchor.
Key features
- Flush-mount installation in the transom or under a gunwale
- Hot and cold faucet controls built into one recessed shower box
- 6 foot hose with a replaceable hand-held shower spray
- Required cutout size of 8-1/2 inches by 4 inches
- High-impact plastic construction with a hinged cover over the controls and spray head
Installation and fit
This unit is best suited to boats that already have both hot and cold freshwater lines available at the mounting location. Before ordering, check the panel area for the 8-1/2 inch by 4 inch cutout and confirm there is enough room behind the surface for plumbing connections and hose routing.
Because it installs flush, it is a clean option for transom and under-gunwale positions where loose deck hardware can get in the way. That makes it a practical match for cruisers, fishing boats, and family boats that want an onboard rinse point near the waterline or cockpit entry.
Use on board
A setup like this is commonly used to rinse off after swimming, wash salt from hands and gear, or clean up in the cockpit without dragging a hose across the deck. The hand-held spray makes it easier to direct water where you need it, especially around the stern and boarding area.
