The Garmin 010-02551-04 is a STRIKER Vivid 5cv portable fishfinder bundle built around a 5-inch color display (800 x 480) and CHIRP sonar, packaged for ice fishing with a carry bag and a rechargeable lead-acid battery. Installation and setup

For ice use, the portable kit keeps everything together: mount the display on the included tilt/swivel bracket, connect the power/data cable to the battery, and lower the GT8HW-IF transducer through the hole using the float so it hangs level. Once the transducer is steady, the flasher view and traditional sonar are quick to dial in for the depth you are fishing.

On a boat, the display can be hard-mounted using the included bracket hardware and powered from a 12 VDC circuit. The GT8HW-IF transducer is shaped for ice use; for transom, trolling motor, or in-hull installs, pairing the display with a compatible open-water transducer is the clean way to match your mounting location and sonar goals.

Compatibility and fit

The unit uses a single 4-pin transducer port, so it is important to match connector type when swapping transducers between seasons. GPS functions on this unit are focused on fishing workflow: marking spots, building routes, and showing speed. It does not add chartplotter cartography, so it is best used alongside your normal navigation setup if you are running inshore or offshore.
