Overview
The Simrad 000-10464-001 is a mounting bracket used to bracket-mount a 7-inch NSS7 evo2 or Zeus2 7 multifunction display at the helm. It bolts to the console, pod, pedestal, or overhead surface and holds the display in a gimbal-style mount so the viewing angle can be set and the unit stays put when the boat is moving.
This part is the bracket itself; mounting knobs and fasteners are typically separate pieces or reused from an existing installation. It is a practical replacement when a bracket has cracked, gone missing, or been drilled out during a refit.
Key features
- Fits Simrad NSS7 evo2 and Zeus2 7 displays for bracket (gimbal) mounting
- Restores the original bracket-mount setup when replacing a worn or damaged mount
- Lets the display be angled for glare control and better visibility from seated or standing helm positions
- Uses the standard side knobs for this bracket-mount system (knobs not included with the bracket itself)
- Works well for dash-top, pedestal, and overhead mounts where flush mounting is not the plan
Compatibility and fit
This bracket matches the housing and side-mount points used on the 7-inch NSS7 evo2 and Zeus2 7. Larger displays use different brackets and hole patterns.
Confirm the exact model on the display label before ordering, especially if the unit is from a different NSS generation.
Installation and setup
Mount the bracket on a flat, rigid surface where the screen can tilt freely without hitting a windshield frame, throttle binnacle, or grab rail. Any holes through a cored console or hardtop should be sealed appropriately to keep water out of the laminate.
Plan cable routing before final tightening. Leave enough slack so connectors are not loaded as the display is tilted, and avoid tight bends that can stress power and network leads over time.
Use on board
Bracket mounting is common on center consoles, pilothouses, and sportfishers where the display needs to be angled for quick glances while standing. It also suits trailer boats and seasonal storage setups where the unit is removed from the bracket between trips.
Maintenance and care
Rinse salt spray off the bracket during washdowns and re-check mounting screws periodically for tightness, especially after the first few runs and after heavy weather.
