Overview
The Jabsco 33610-0107 is a 12V Ballast SuperKing pump with a Deutsch connector for wake and ski boat ballast systems. It uses a reversible dual-impeller layout to fill or empty tanks through one pump, with a flow curve that reaches 25 US GPM at zero head and 20 US GPM at 5 psi. The pump is self-priming to 3 ft (0.9 m) and connects to 1-1/4 in (32 mm) hose.
This model is built for fresh water or salt water ballast transfer, not fuel or low-flash-point liquids. It suits boats that already use a ballast control harness or a separate polarity-reversing control, since this version comes with a Deutsch connector and does not include a reversing switch.
Key features
- 12V DC reversible pump for filling or draining ballast tanks with one pump body
- Flow curve ranges from 95 LPM at zero head to 76 LPM at 5 psi, which corresponds to 25 to 20 US GPM
- Self-priming to 3 ft (0.9 m) when the suction side is airtight
- 1-1/4 in (32 mm) hose-barb ports for ballast plumbing
- Deutsch DTP04-2P connector; this version does not include a reversing switch
- Dual-impeller pump head with two impellers used for service
- Ignition protected to USCG 183.410 and ISO 8846 MARINE, with IP55 ingress protection
- Intermittent-duty cycle of 5 minutes on and 10 minutes off, with run-dry capability up to 1 minute after 5 minutes wet
Compatibility and fit
This pump is meant for ballast transfer on tow boats and wake boats where one reversible pump handles both fill and drain. The 1-1/4 in hose-barb ports suit larger ballast lines, and the overall length is about 8.98 in (228 mm), which helps when checking space in lockers, behind panels, or in dedicated ballast compartments.
It also makes sense as a replacement when the boat already uses the SuperKing layout, 12V power, and a Deutsch-style pump connection. Owners moving up from smaller 9 GPM or 15 GPM ballast pumps should confirm hose size, current draw, and mounting space before swapping it in.
Installation and setup
The pump should be mounted on a flat surface in a dry, ventilated spot with access for service. When mounted vertically, the motor should sit above the pump head so any seal leak stays away from the motor. Rubber grommets are used at the mounts to help control vibration.
Use 1-1/4 in hose that will not collapse under suction, and keep the intake side airtight so the pump can prime properly. For systems that discharge overboard, the discharge outlet should sit above both the static and heeled waterline.
Electrical and system integration
This is a 12V pump with a maximum current draw of 21A and a 25A fuse specification. Because this version has no reversing switch, fill-and-drain systems need a separate polarity-reversing control or an existing ballast control module that handles motor direction.
The two-pin Deutsch connection keeps integration straightforward on boats already wired for this style of ballast pump. On longer cable runs, voltage drop matters, so cable sizing should be planned around the full battery-to-pump-and-back length.
Maintenance and care
The SuperKing uses two impellers, so routine service is worth planning for on boats that cycle ballast often during a day on the water. For winter layup or any storage period, drain water from the pump body first so trapped water cannot freeze inside the unit.
This pump is a strong match for owners running larger ballast bags or tanks who want faster transfer than smaller reversible pumps can deliver, especially when the boat already has 1-1/4 in plumbing and a 12V ballast control setup in place.
