Overview
The Lumitec 112550 is a flush-mount LED downlight that runs on 10-30 VDC and draws 4 W. It cycles through white (5000K), red, blue, and purple output, and the white channel produces up to 210 lumens with a CRI of 70+.
It is IP67 sealed for wet areas on a boat, including spray and washdowns, but it is not intended for permanent underwater mounting. For fit, the trim is 1.99 in in diameter, the required cutout is 1.23 in, and the mounting depth is 0.43 in, which helps when space behind an overhead panel is limited.
Key features
- 10-30 VDC input for common 12 V and 24 V DC systems
- 4 W draw with up to 210 lumens on white (5000K) and CRI 70+
- Four-color output: white, red, blue, and purple
- IP67 sealed housing for exterior and interior mounting in wet locations (not for permanent underwater use)
- Compact cutout and depth: 1.23 in cutout, 0.43 in mounting depth, 1.99 in outside diameter
- SPST on and off switch control; quick power toggles step through colors and the light resets to white after about 2 seconds off
- For circuit sizing, plan for up to 580 mA at 12 VDC or 320 mA at 24 VDC per light
- CE certified and not UL certified
What's included
- Orbit flush-mount downlight
- Mounting plate
- Mounting screws
- Yellow rubber installation tool
Installation and wiring
Use the cutout template to drill the cutout and screw holes, fasten the mounting plate with the text facing out, then insert the light and rotate it until it clicks into place. The rubber tool can help you get enough grip to fully seat the twist-lock.
Wire to the boat's DC system with correct polarity: black to negative and the positive lead to the switched +12 VDC or +24 VDC feed. Protect the lighting circuit with an appropriately sized fuse or breaker, especially when several lights share one switch.
Control and color operation
Color changing is handled on the power feed. Turn the light off and immediately back on to cycle to the next color. If the circuit stays off for roughly 2 seconds, the light resets so the next power-up comes on in white. If multiple lights on the same switch get out of sync, turning the circuit off for about 3 seconds brings them back together.
Use on board
This is a good match for cabin overheads, helm hardtops, T-tops, and mezzanine spaces where you want a white task light for cleanup and rigging, plus colored modes for low-glare night running or a softer look at anchor, without adding a separate controller or extra control wires.
