Overview
The Raymarine T70581 is a ClearCruise augmented reality pack that combines the CAM300 day and night IP camera with the AR200 stabilization, GNSS, and heading sensor for Raymarine Axiom chartplotters. It puts a live 1080p video view on screen and overlays AIS targets, waypoints, and chart objects, with infrared illumination up to 10 m and a 125° horizontal field of view.
On the water, that helps when you are checking blind spots from the helm, confirming traffic and channel markers in haze or low light, or keeping an eye on cockpit activity after dark. The camera housing is IP66 rated for exposed mounting, runs on 12 V DC or PoE Class 1, and supports image flip and invert settings when the mounting angle calls for ball-up, ball-down, or reverse video.
Key features
- Combines the CAM300 camera and AR200 sensor in one pack for ClearCruise AR on compatible Raymarine Axiom displays
- 3MP CMOS video up to 1080p, with support for up to four CAM300 feeds on one Axiom screen
- 125° horizontal field of view covers more of the bow, cockpit, or side deck from one mounting point
- Built-in 850 nm infrared emitters give near-field visibility up to 10 m in darkness
- Works from a 10.8 to 15.6 V DC supply or from IEEE 802.3af PoE Class 1
- Image flip and invert settings support ball-up, ball-down, and reverse video installations
- IP66 camera housing suits exposed mounting points where spray and washdowns are part of normal use
- ONVIF Profile S compatibility lets the CAM300 sit within a broader onboard video system
Compatibility and fit
This pack is built around Raymarine Axiom displays. ClearCruise AR runs through a compatible Axiom multifunction display with LightHouse 4.1 or later, and the AR200 supplies GPS position, heading, pitch, and roll data so the overlay stays aligned while the boat is moving.
The CAM300 works well where space is limited at the hardtop, radar arch, cockpit overhang, cabin entry, or other spots that need a broad view without a large camera body. The camera base is 59.5 mm across and 52.9 mm high, which makes it easier to place on smaller boats and tighter helm layouts.
Installation and setup
For installation, the main choices are camera location and how you want to power it. The CAM300 can run from a 12 V circuit or from PoE, and the pack includes a 10 m RayNet cable plus SeaTalkng backbone parts that help when the display, network connection, and camera are not all in the same area.
This setup suits skippers who want one visible-light camera for navigation support and onboard monitoring rather than a thermal imager. It makes good sense on cruising boats, center consoles, and pilothouse layouts where the helm needs a better forward or cockpit view in changing light.
