Overview
The Raymarine A80207 is a trolling motor bracket for mounting a Raymarine CPT-60 transducer to a trolling motor. It is a mechanical adapter for anglers who want the transducer positioned on the trolling motor instead of using a standard transom-style setup.
This bracket is made for the CPT-60 transducer, commonly used with Raymarine Dragonfly fishfinder systems. On a bow-mounted trolling motor, it helps keep the sonar source close to the area being fished, which is useful when working shorelines, structure, weed edges, or docks at low speed.
Key features
- Fits Raymarine CPT-60 transducers for trolling motor mounting.
- Lets the transducer move with the trolling motor, keeping sonar coverage aligned with the direction being fished.
- Useful for bow-fishing setups where a transom-mounted transducer is too far from the casting position.
- Mechanical bracket only, so it does not change the transducer wiring, display connection, or sonar electronics.
- Suitable for freshwater fishing boats and light coastal use when the installation is checked regularly for tightness and clearance.
Compatibility and fit
This bracket is for the Raymarine CPT-60 transducer. Before installation, confirm that the transducer body, cable route, and trolling motor lower unit have enough clearance through the full steering range. It should not interfere with the propeller, shaft, stow position, or any deploy and retrieve movement.
Installation and setup
Mount the bracket so the CPT-60 sits level and stays below the turbulence created by the trolling motor housing when the boat is moving slowly. Route the transducer cable up the trolling motor shaft with enough slack for steering and deployment, while keeping the cable away from pinch points and the propeller.
After the first trip, check the bracket and cable routing again. Trolling motors see constant steering movement, vibration, and occasional contact with weeds or bottom, so a quick inspection helps keep the sonar image consistent and protects the transducer cable.
Use on board
This mount makes sense for small fishing boats, bass boats, bay boats, and other setups where the person reading the fishfinder is working from the bow. It is a practical accessory when the CPT-60 needs to follow the trolling motor rather than stay fixed at the stern.
