Overview
The Perko 1399DP0CHR is a locking gas deck fill for boats using 1-1/2" fuel fill hose. It has a 3-1/8" outside flange diameter, a 1-7/8" neck length, and installs in a 2-1/8" mounting hole, so it is straightforward to compare against an existing fill before ordering.
This fill uses a chrome-plated zinc alloy body with a black polymer flange and cap. The cap is tethered with a strap, and the lock has a cover over the keyhole, which helps keep the opening cleaner when the fill is exposed on deck.
It also includes a ground screw, cap retainer, and gasket at the fill. This model meets U.S.C.G. Safety Standards dated January 31, 1977 for gasoline fuel systems under 33 CFR 183, and it is not the right fill for installations that require 40 CFR 1060 subpart B evaporative-emissions compliance.
Key features
- Fits 1-1/2" gasoline fill hose, which is a common size on many older and current boat fuel-fill layouts
- 3-1/8" flange diameter and 2-1/8" mounting hole size make replacement checks easier before cutting or drilling
- 1-7/8" neck length helps when you need to confirm clearance below the deck
- Chrome-plated zinc alloy body with black polymer flange and cap balances a traditional deck-fill look with practical corrosion resistance
- Locking cap includes a cover over the keyhole and a cap strap to keep the cap attached to the fill
- Ground screw, cap retainer, and gasket are part of the fill assembly
Compatibility and fit
This fill suits gasoline systems that use 1-1/2" hose and need a deck fill with a locking cap. The main fit checks are the hose size, the 2-1/8" mounting hole, the 3-1/8" flange footprint, and the 1-7/8" neck length under the deck. The mounting pattern uses #6 screws, so the existing fastener layout is worth checking during a replacement.
It is a good match for boat owners replacing an older Perko-style gas fill or updating a deck fill where security matters at the dock, on a trailer, or in shared storage. On boats that already have an evaporative-emissions compliant fuel system requirement, this is not the correct fill to substitute in.
Installation and setup
For a clean replacement, compare the hose inside diameter, deck cutout, and underside clearance before removing the old fill. The grounding point should be connected as required by the boat's fuel-system layout, and the gasket should be seated evenly so the flange beds down flat against the deck surface.
This style of fill makes the most sense where you want a familiar twist-cap layout with a lock, clear gas marking, and a compact neck that does not take up much space below deck.
