Overview
The Raymarine T70432 is a wired second station kit for expanding a compatible Raymarine modular VHF system to a second control location on board.
This kit is made for Ray90 and Ray91 installations where the main VHF transceiver can stay tucked away while a second RayMic handset and passive speaker are placed where the crew actually needs access, such as a flybridge, nav station, pilothouse, cockpit, or lower helm. The included 10 m cable gives the installer useful routing length for many common helm-to-cabin or helm-to-flybridge layouts.
Because the station is wired, it suits boats where dependable VHF access matters more than handset portability. It is a practical upgrade for vessels that operate from more than one position or need a second place to monitor calls, manage radio functions, and hear VHF audio clearly.
Key features
- Adds a second wired control station to compatible Raymarine Ray90 and Ray91 VHF systems.
- Includes a RayMic wired handset so radio controls can be placed at another operating position on board.
- Passive speaker supports clear VHF audio at the second station without adding a separate powered speaker.
- 10 m RayMic extension cable gives flexibility for routing through cabins, consoles, bulkheads, or flybridge structures.
- Useful for dual-helm boats, enclosed pilothouses, sailboats with nav stations, and vessels where the VHF needs to be accessible away from the main radio location.
Compatibility and fit
This kit is intended for Raymarine Ray90 and Ray91 dual-station VHF radio systems. It is not a stand-alone VHF radio and should be matched to an existing compatible Raymarine system before purchase.
For fit planning, check the path between the main VHF installation area and the second station location before installation. The 10 m cable length is often suitable for routing from a black-box transceiver or primary helm area to another operating position, but actual usable length depends on cable path, service loops, bulkhead passes, and how the cable is protected behind panels.
Installation and use on board
A wired second station is especially useful when the person handling the boat is not always near the primary radio controls. On a flybridge cruiser, it can keep VHF control at the upper helm. On a sailboat, it can place radio access closer to the cockpit or navigation area. On a pilothouse boat, it can give the inside station its own handset and speaker while the main system remains connected elsewhere.
During installation, route the cable away from sharp edges, high-heat areas, and moving steering or throttle components. In exposed helm areas, protect cable runs from spray paths and UV exposure where possible, and leave enough service loop for future maintenance without putting strain on connectors.
