The Vimar Idea 17044 USA+EU socket outlet is a reduced-module 2P outlet for 15 A / 250 V AC circuits, with a Euro-American pattern that accepts plugs with parallel or in-line flat pins as well as 4.8 mm pins. It runs at 50 to 60 Hz and carries an IP20 rating, so it belongs in protected interior installations where a compact AC outlet is needed in the Vimar Idea range.

The body is thermoplastic, halogen-free, and finished with a matte surface. At 43.8 mm wide, 50.1 mm high, and 36.5 mm deep, it works well where panel depth is limited and where a reduced-module outlet is easier to place than a larger receptacle format.

On board, this outlet fits best in dry cabin spaces such as a berth area, galley panel, or navigation station where mixed plug compatibility matters. It is not meant for exposed deck positions, washdown areas, or other locations that need a sealed outlet.

Variants

This outlet is offered in two color configurations.

The electrical format stays the same across the range: both versions use the same 2P 15 A / 250 V outlet pattern, the same reduced-module body, and the same IP20 rating. The change between variants is the visible finish color.

• VM17044.B - Color Ivory. This version blends more easily into lighter switch panels and cabin trim.
• VM17044 - Color Gray. This version suits darker panels and other gray devices in the same switch layout.

Compatibility and fit

Before ordering, confirm that your installation uses the Vimar Idea system and a reduced-module opening. This is a fixed outlet for interior panel mounting, not a weatherproof shore power inlet or a heavy-duty exterior receptacle.
