The Vimar Idea 16233 is a 1-module USA+EU socket outlet for 250 V AC circuits where you need a polarized Euro-American connection on board. It is rated 15 A at 250 V and accepts plugs with parallel flat blades and 4.8 mm round pins. With IP20 protection, it is meant for flush-mounted use in dry interior locations rather than exposed deck or washdown areas.

The body is thermoplastic with a matt untreated finish, the construction is halogen-free, and the rear uses screw terminals for a straightforward installation within the Vimar Idea system.

Variants

This outlet is offered in two color configurations.

Across both versions, the outlet format, 15 A / 250 V rating, 1-module size, IP20 protection, flush-mounted installation, and screw terminal connection stay the same. The visible finish is what changes.

• VM16233.B: Color Ivory. This lighter finish works well with pale interior panels and trim.
• VM16233: Color Gray. This darker finish gives more contrast on light bulkheads and panels.

Compatibility and fit

Before ordering, check that the mounting point is set up for the Vimar Idea module system and that there is room for a device body measuring 24.8 mm wide, 50.1 mm high, and 38.5 mm deep. This is a single outlet with no switch and no hinged lid.

It is a good match for boats that regularly deal with mixed plug standards inside the cabin, especially at berths, seating areas, or around small galley appliances and chargers. It makes less sense in wet lockers, open cockpits, or any location that needs a sealed outlet face.
