The Vimar PLANA is a 2-switch bus interface for connecting two traditional devices into a By-me Plus installation. It uses a flush-mounted 1-module format, includes LED indication, and carries an IP40 rating for protected interior locations.

This is the kind of part used when a boat build or refit needs a clean PLANA control point without giving up bus-system integration. The thermoplastic body and glossy front keep the look consistent with other PLANA devices, while the compact footprint helps when panel space is limited at an interior helm, cabin bulkhead, or utility panel.

Variants

This product is offered in two finish options.

Across both variants, the core format stays the same: flush-mounted installation, 1 modular spacing, thermoplastic construction, bus connection, LED indication, and IP40 protection. The visible finish, surface protection, and colour are what change between versions.

• VM14518: White, glossy finish with untreated surface protection, RAL 9003. This keeps the visible control point discreet in white PLANA layouts and light interior panels.
• VM14518.SL: Silver, glossy finish with lacquered surface protection, RAL 9006. This gives the front a metallic look that suits silver PLANA frames and contemporary interior switch panels.

Compatibility and fit

This interface belongs to the Vimar By-me Plus PLANA range and is classed as an interface for bus systems. It is not a KNX, KNX-RF, LON, Powernet, or radio-frequency interface, which matters when matching it to an existing onboard control system.

The 1-module body is useful where space is tight and a flush finish matters. On a boat, that usually means protected interior positions rather than exposed deck areas, lockers that see spray, or washdown zones, as the IP40 rating is meant for dry locations.

It suits installations where two conventional switch inputs need to be brought into a structured control system while keeping the PLANA appearance consistent across the panel.
