Overview

The Vimar Plana Series is a range of 2-pole 1-way switches rated at 20 AX and 250 V for flush-mounted modular installations. These switches are lightable, use screwed terminals, and come in 1-module and 2-module formats with widths of 22.3 mm or 44.8 mm, a height of 49 mm, and a built-in depth of 24 mm.

In a boat interior, this switch style fits protected panel and wall positions where you want a clean flush finish for a 250 V circuit. IP40 protection, snap-engage mounting, and a halogen-free thermoplastic body make it better suited to enclosed cabin, galley, head, or utility spaces than to exposed deck or washdown areas.

Variants

This range changes in three ways across the available versions: finish color, printed symbol on the rocker, and module width. Versions are available in white or silver, with either a standard ON/OFF symbol or a WATER/HEATER symbol, and in 1-module or 2-module format.

Across the range, the switch function stays the same: 2-pole, 1-way, lightable, and rated 20 AX at 250 V with screwed terminals and flush mounting. White versions use a glossy untreated surface, while silver versions use a glossy lacquered surface. Width changes with module count, at 22.3 mm for 1-module versions and 44.8 mm for 2-module versions.

Installation and fit

Check the module space in the support frame before ordering. The 1-module versions work where panel width is tight, while the 2-module versions take more faceplate space but keep the same switch function. Device depth is 38.7 mm across the range, which matters when wiring space behind the panel is limited.

This family makes sense for boats and yachts already using the Vimar Plana format for interior AC switching points. The WATER/HEATER symbol versions help identify appliance circuits at a glance, which is useful in service spaces or accommodation areas where the switch needs to be easy to read without adding a separate label.
