Overview

The Vimar Plana Series is a 2-button 2P 10AX 250 V two-way switch range with 6 terminals, directional arrows, and a central OFF position. It is a flush-mounted built-in switch for Plana modular installations where a directional function needs a clear stop position in the middle.

For boat interiors, this style of switch makes sense in protected cabin and panel locations where a clean built-in finish matters and the circuit needs a center-off layout. The body is thermoplastic and halogen-free, the protection rating is IP40, and the switch also supports self-ballasted lamp loads up to 100 W.

Variants

This switch is offered in two finish options within the same Plana configuration.

Across both variants, the switching layout, 10AX 250 V rating, 6-terminal connection, central OFF position, and flush-mount format stay the same. The visible color and surface treatment change between the two versions.

• VM14060.SL, Color Silver. Silver finish with a glossy lacquered surface, similar to RAL 9006. It fits spaces where the switch is meant to stand out a little more against darker or metallic trim.
• VM14060, Color White. White finish with a glossy untreated surface, similar to RAL 9003. It blends more easily into light cabin liners, accommodation areas, and other interior panels.

Installation and fit

This is a built-in switch body with snap fastening, so it should be matched to the correct Plana support and finishing parts already used in the panel or bulkhead. Before ordering, check the module layout and confirm rear clearance for the device depth, which is about 42.5 mm on the white version and about 42.9 mm on the silver version.

Because the protection level is IP40, it belongs in enclosed interior spaces rather than exposed helm faces, open cockpit surfaces, or washdown areas. It is a sensible fit for refit work on boats that already use Vimar Plana modules and want the same look across cabins and control points.

This switch suits boats that use modular interior fittings and need a center-off directional switch in accommodation spaces, enclosed utility areas, or other protected locations. It is also a straightforward match for projects where the finish needs to stay consistent with other Plana switches and outlets already installed on board.
