The Vimar Plana Series is an HDMI 2.1b socket connector outlet range for modular flush-mounted installations where you want a clean panel finish and a fixed pass-through point for video and audio connections. It uses Keystone fixing and carries an IP20 rating, so it belongs in protected interior spaces rather than exposed deck or washdown areas.

This range makes sense on boats with enclosed cabins, nav stations, media panels, or helm consoles that need a neater HDMI connection than a loose cable run. The body is thermoplastic and halogen-free, and the finish options let the outlet blend with either a white or silver Plana setup.

Across the range, the connector format remains HDMI 2.1b with Keystone fixing. The main difference is whether the cable leaves the back of the module straight or at 90°, which can affect how easily it fits behind a panel or inside a shallow console.

• VM14346.H.SL - Silver finish with 90° cable outlet. This version changes the cable path right at the back of the module, which is useful where service depth is limited.
• VM14346.H - White finish with 90° cable outlet. It keeps the same angled rear exit in a white front finish for matching lighter interior panels.
• VM14346.SL - Silver finish with straight cable outlet. The cable runs directly out the back, which suits layouts with more open rear clearance.
• VM14346 - White finish with straight cable outlet. It keeps the same direct rear cable path in a white finish for clean integration with white Plana trim.

Compatibility and fit

This is a Plana-series device, so it is intended for Vimar Plana modular installations. On a boat, it is best used anywhere the face of the outlet stays protected from spray and the rear of the panel has controlled, dry access for cable routing.

The 90° versions are the practical choice when a bulkhead, liner, or console leaves little space behind the module. The straight versions suit installations where the HDMI lead can run aft without a tight bend immediately behind the outlet.

Installation and onboard use

This outlet works well as a fixed HDMI access point between a TV, onboard media source, monitor, or distribution panel. It helps keep cabin entertainment and AV installations tidy by giving the cable a proper termination point at the panel instead of leaving a loose lead hanging out.

It is a good match for refits or new builds where the electrical trim already uses the Vimar Plana platform and the goal is a neat interior finish with a stable HDMI connection in a protected location.
