Overview
The Vimar VM10195 is a 2P+E (grounded) socket outlet module rated 15A at 127 V AC, set up for American and Saudi Arabian plug standards.
It is a flush-mounted device in the LINEA Classica series, which makes it a practical choice when you are building out AC receptacles in cabins, galleys, or a nav station on a boat with a 127 V AC distribution system.
The body measures 22.00 mm wide x 36.00 mm high x 32.50 mm deep, and it is made from halogen-free thermoplastic with a matt white finish (RAL 9001 similar). A built-in label space gives you a clean spot to mark a circuit, location, or equipment feed.
Key features
- 15A, 127 V AC rating for standard 127 V onboard AC branch circuits
- 2P+E grounded receptacle format configured for American and Saudi Arabian standards
- Flush-mounted installation style for clean panel and bulkhead installs
- Compact device size (22.00 mm W x 36.00 mm H x 32.50 mm D) for tight electrical panels
- Halogen-free thermoplastic construction with a matt surface finish
- White color (RAL 9001 similar) that matches common marine interior trim
- Label space/information surface for clear identification in multi-outlet areas
Compatibility and fit
This outlet is part of the LINEA Classica device family and is intended to be used with compatible flush-mount frames and cover plates from the same system. Plan for the 32.50 mm device depth behind the mounting surface, plus space for conductor bend radius and terminal access.
Installation and setup
Install it on a properly protected 127 V AC circuit and size overcurrent protection to the branch wiring and intended load. In wet or spray-prone locations, mount it where it stays protected from direct water exposure and pair it with an appropriate enclosure strategy for the installation area.
If you are refitting an older boat, confirm your onboard AC frequency and distribution standards match the equipment you plan to plug in, and keep the receptacle location clear of heat sources and vibration points that can work terminals loose over time.
Use cases on board
This module is a good match for boats that run 127 V AC for onboard outlets and need a receptacle format aligned with American and Saudi Arabian plug standards. The label field is especially useful in engine room access panels, inverter-fed outlet banks, and helm areas where distinguishing shore power versus inverter circuits matters.
Maintenance and care
Periodically de-energize the circuit and check terminals for signs of heat, discoloration, or corrosion. If the outlet is installed in a high-use area, a quick re-torque check during annual electrical inspections helps prevent nuisance faults and hot connections.
