The Vimar Plana is a 2P+E, 15 A, 127 V~ socket outlet module made for plugs to American and Saudi Arabian standards.

It is a 1-module, flush-mounted insert suited to protected interior locations on board, with an IP20 protection level. It belongs on 127 V AC branch circuits supplied by shore power, a generator, or an inverter that feeds your AC panel.

Connections land on screw terminals, and the insert measures 22.30 mm wide by 49.00 mm high with a body depth of about 36.90 mm, which helps when checking clearance behind liners and cabinetry.

Variants

This outlet is available in two finishes to match different Plana plates and interior trim.

The outlet format and electrical rating stay the same across the range; the visible finish is what changes between the options.

• VM14245: Finish White. A clean look for light panels and white plates where you want the outlet to blend into the surrounding trim.
• VM14245.SL: Finish Silver. A good match for silver-toned plates and hardware, and it is easier to spot against darker cabinetry.

Compatibility and fit

This is the outlet insert only, intended to be assembled into compatible Vimar Plana mounting hardware and a matching cover plate. Plan the installation around the module format and the insert depth so wiring has room to dress behind the panel.

Because the outlet is rated IP20, it is best placed in cabins, salons, nav stations, and other areas that stay dry. For heads, cockpits, and other spaces that see spray or washdowns, the installation should keep the receptacle protected from water exposure.

Installation and setup

AC circuits should be isolated at the source before wiring. Terminate conductors at the screw terminals, confirm earth continuity, and verify polarity and voltage at the receptacle once energized.

This outlet is a good match for boats already using the Vimar Plana system and running 127 V AC distribution where a USA-style receptacle is needed in an interior location.
