Overview
The Vimar Plana Series is a range of 1P+N RCBO breaker switches for 120-230 V AC circuits where overcurrent protection and residual-current protection need to sit in one flush-mounted device. These units use a 2-module format with a built-in depth of 38 mm, which helps when panel space is limited on a boat or in another compact AC installation.
Across the listed versions, the RCBO curve is Type C and the units switch the neutral together with the protected pole. Rated current varies by version at 6 A, 10 A, or 16 A, while residual-current sensitivity is available at 6 mA, 10 mA, or 30 mA. Breaking capacity is 1500 A on the 6 A versions and 3000 A on the 10 A and 16 A versions.
Key features
- 120-230 V AC, 50/60 Hz operation for onboard and shore-connected AC circuits
- 1P+N RCBO format combines overcurrent protection and residual-current protection in one device
- Type C trip characteristic for circuits with moderate inrush current
- Built-in 2-module design with 38 mm depth for flush-mounted panels
- Variants available in white or silver, with 6 A, 10 A, and 16 A current ratings
- Residual-current thresholds available at 6 mA, 10 mA, or 30 mA depending on version
- IP40 protection and overvoltage category III
Variants
This range varies in finish, rated current, and residual-current sensitivity. Available finishes are white and silver. Current ratings cover 6 A, 10 A, and 16 A, and the residual-current threshold depends on version at 6 mA, 10 mA, or 30 mA.
Across the listed versions, the product stays within the same Plana 1P+N RCBO family for 120-230 V AC, 50/60 Hz installations with a built-in 2-module format. On this range, the 6 A versions carry a 1500 A breaking capacity, while the 10 A and 16 A versions are rated at 3000 A.
Installation and fit
These are built-in devices for flush mounting, so they suit panels where rear clearance can accommodate a 38 mm depth. The 2-module width helps when RCBO protection needs to be added without giving up more panel space than necessary.
Electrical and system integration
This range is intended for AC supply at 120-230 V and 50/60 Hz. Before installation, the selected version should match the circuit current, the required residual-current threshold, and the panel finish used elsewhere on the switchboard.
Use on board
This range is a good match for builders, electricians, and owners fitting compact AC distribution panels on boats where combined leakage and overcurrent protection needs to stay within a 2-module space. It also works well where the visible finish matters, since the range includes both white and silver versions.
