Overview

The Vimar Plana Series is a flush-mounted multi-standard 2P+E SICURY socket outlet in a 2-module format, rated 13 A at 250 V with 50-60 Hz operation. It uses screw terminals, has IP20 protection, and measures 44.8 x 49 x 28.2 mm.

This is an interior AC outlet for boats and other protected installations that already use the Vimar Plana modular system. The multi-standard format helps when different plug types may be used on board, while the enhanced contact protection matters in cabins, galley areas, helm consoles, and other spaces where the outlet is within regular reach.

The body is thermoplastic, halogen-free, and finished in gloss. Because it is an IP20 device, it suits protected interior locations rather than exposed deck areas, lockers that get washdowns, or any place where spray and standing water are part of normal use.

Variants

This outlet is offered in two finish configurations within the same Plana 2-module format.

What changes between the variants is the color and surface treatment. The electrical rating, mounting method, terminal type, IP20 protection, and body dimensions stay the same across both versions.

• VM14257, Color White. White thermoplastic with an untreated glossy surface, RAL 9003. This keeps the outlet visually aligned with white Plana trims and light interior panels.
• VM14257.SL, Color Silver. Silver thermoplastic with a lacquered glossy surface, RAL 9006. This finish sits more naturally alongside metallic details and darker trim pieces.

Compatibility and fit

This is the 2-module device insert from the Plana range, so final fit depends on the matching Plana mounting frame and cover plate already used in the panel. Before ordering, the main check is that the boat or installation already uses the Plana system and the correct support for a 2-module device.

It is a good match for refits where the existing switchgear is Plana and the buyer needs the outlet insert in the right finish. The compact body helps when panel depth is limited, but clearance still needs to account for cable bend radius and the screw-terminal wiring behind the panel.

Installation and setup

Wiring is through screw terminals, so this suits fixed installation by an electrician or marine technician working on the vessel's AC system. As with other flush devices, the outlet itself is one part of the assembly and should be paired with the correct frame and cover plate for the panel.

On board, it makes the most sense in protected interior spaces where people need a tidy wall or console outlet and the existing trim system is already Plana. It is not the right choice for open cockpits, exposed bulkheads, or areas that see hose-downs and direct spray.
