Overview

This Vimar 4 Modules Table Mounting Box is a surface-mounted housing for 4-module modular switching devices when a flush box is not practical. It mounts horizontally, includes cable entry, and measures 142.5 x 80 x 67.6 mm with an IP20 rating for protected interior spaces.

The body is made from halogen-free plastic with a matte finish and shock-resistant construction. On board, that makes it a sensible choice for enclosed areas such as a cabin side, chart table, console furniture, or galley joinery where switches or other modular controls need a clean surface-mounted base.

This box is the enclosure only and is completed with a separate mounting frame and cover plate. Because it is rated IP20, it is meant for dry interior locations rather than exposed deck areas or any place that sees washdowns.

Variants

This product is offered in two color configurations for the same 4-module table mounting format.

The published difference across the range is color. Both variants share the same horizontal mounting direction, cable entry, IP20 protection rating, halogen-free plastic construction, matte finish, and overall dimensions.

• VM19784, Grey, RAL 7015. This finish gives the box a darker appearance that blends in well with technical panels and darker interior trim.
• VM19784.B, White, RAL 9016. This finish gives the box a lighter look that suits bright cabin interiors and white switch surrounds.

Compatibility and fit

This mounting box is intended for 4-module switching assemblies and other matching modular inserts in the Vimar ecosystem. Before installation, check the available surface area and depth behind the mounting point, especially on furniture panels, cabin liners, and console fascias where cable routing can be tight.

It is a good match for refits and new builds where the electrical point needs to sit on the finished surface rather than inside a flush wall cavity. In marine interiors, that often comes up at navigation stations, berth-side furniture, salon cabinetry, and other protected living spaces.
