The Vimar Plana Series 2 Modules Single USB-C Supply Unit is a flush-mounted charging point with one USB-C output, USB Power Delivery, and a 2-module format for Vimar Plana installations. Across this range it runs on 120 to 240 V AC at 50/60 Hz and uses screw terminals for fixed wiring.

On board, it fits interior charging locations where a built-in outlet is cleaner than a loose adapter, such as the cabin, berth, galley, or nav station. The 30W versions carry an IP40 rating and need a minimum 37 mm installation box depth, while the 60W versions raise output to 60W, work across a 5 to 20 V output range, and need a minimum 31.9 mm box depth.

This is an AC wiring device, so it belongs on vessels with a 120 to 240 V service from shore power, generator, or inverter rather than on a direct 12V or 24V DC panel. The IP20 and IP40 ratings also make it a better fit for protected interior spaces than for exposed deck or washdown areas.

Across all variants, the core format stays the same: one USB-C outlet, USB Power Delivery, 120 to 240 V AC input, screw-terminal wiring, flush mounting, and a 2-module footprint. Power level changes more than charging speed alone, because the 30W models use IP40 protection and a 37 mm minimum box depth, while the 60W models use IP20 protection and a 31.9 mm minimum box depth.

• VM14298.SL: silver finish, 30W. This 30W version keeps the IP40 rating and suits interior cabin or berth charging points where a silver face matches the surrounding hardware.
• VM14298: white finish, 30W. This shares the same 30W electrical format in a white finish and needs a minimum 37 mm box depth.
• VM14298.60.SL: silver finish, 60W. This moves to 60W charging with a 5 to 20 V output range and IP20 protection for protected interior mounting points.
• VM14298.60: white finish, 60W. This keeps the same 60W electrical format in white and fits a minimum 31.9 mm box depth, which matters on tighter refits.

Installation and fit

This unit is made for flush mounting in a compatible 2-module Plana arrangement and connects with screw terminals, so it fits a permanent AC installation rather than a plug-in charger. On refits, the box depth is worth checking before ordering because the 30W and 60W versions do not use the same minimum depth.

It is a sensible match for cabins, staterooms, saloons, and navigation areas where phones, tablets, cameras, and small USB-C devices are charged from the boat's AC system. Boats already fitted with Vimar Plana devices will get the cleanest visual match.

Electrical and system integration

Because the supply input is 120 to 240 V AC, this family works best on boats with shore power, generator, or inverter-backed AC distribution. It is not a substitute for a dedicated 12V or 24V DC USB outlet at the helm or on a low-voltage panel.
