Overview

The Vimar Eikon Series is a 1-module LED emergency lamp for 230 V AC systems at 50-60 Hz, with automatic emergency operation, a replaceable rechargeable Ni-MH battery, and up to 2 hours of backup lighting. It uses up to 1 W, has an IP40 rating, and installs as a built-in module with a 22.3 mm width and 37 mm built-in depth.

This unit is made for protected interior locations where a small orientation light is needed if mains power drops. On board, that usually points to accommodation spaces, passageways, utility areas, or interior switch positions on vessels that already have a 230 V AC installation, rather than wet or spray-exposed areas.

The lamp uses a non-replaceable LED light source with a 3 lumen output and a narrow-angle lens. Class II construction and continuous battery charging during normal mains operation keep the installation straightforward in dry, enclosed spaces.

Variants

This product is offered in three finish options within the same Eikon 1-module emergency lamp format.

The confirmed difference across the listed versions is the housing colour. The electrical supply, battery system, built-in format, and emergency-light function remain the same across these variants.

• VM20382: Grey finish. This version keeps the emergency lamp visually aligned with grey Eikon devices and matching interior switch layouts.
• VM20382.N: Silver finish. This version matches Eikon Next silver installations and maintains a consistent look across the surrounding plate and device set.
• VM20382.B: White finish. This version suits white Eikon interiors and keeps the fitting less noticeable on lighter panels and cabin walls.

Installation and fit

This is a built-in module with no remote switch connection. The battery is supplied disconnected and must be connected during installation, after which it charges continuously whenever mains voltage is present.

For marine refits or new interior fit-outs, it suits boats that already use the Vimar Eikon format and have a 230 V AC circuit in the accommodation area. It is less suitable where only 12 V or 24 V DC lighting is used, or where the fitting would be exposed to washdowns, open weather, or persistent condensation.
