Overview

The Vimar Idea TORCIA hand lamp is a built-in 2-module emergency and portable light for 230 V~ 50-60 Hz installations. It combines a fixed charging point with a removable LED hand lamp, so it stays docked and charged in normal use and can be lifted out when light is needed away from the wall point. Runtime is approximately 2 hours after charging, and the replaceable 4-element Ni-MH 4.8 V 80 mAh battery charges in about 48 hours.

This is a practical fit for boats that use a 230 V AC domestic circuit and Vimar Idea modular devices in protected interior spaces. With IP40 protection, Class II construction, and a built-in depth of 39.2 mm, it suits cabin, passageway, and service-area installations where the unit stays sheltered from spray and washdowns.

Variants

This product is offered in two color configurations within the same Idea TORCIA format.

The visible finish changes between variants. Across both versions, the lamp format stays the same at 2 modules with 230 V~ 50-60 Hz supply, a rechargeable Ni-MH battery, and approximately 2 hours of light after charging.

• VM16450: Gray. This version changes the visible trim color while keeping the same charging and emergency-light function.
• VM16450.B: Ivory. This version keeps the same lamp and charging setup with a lighter finish for matching surrounding devices and plates.

Installation and fit

The unit is built for a flush-mounted 2-module position in the Vimar Idea range. The front width is 49.7 mm and the built-in depth is 39.2 mm, so it helps to confirm space behind the plate before ordering, especially where liner panels or shallow boxes reduce clearance.

The charging side uses ø 4 mm pins with 19 mm spacing. On board, that matters most when replacing an existing TORCIA point or planning a matching new installation within a compatible Idea layout.

Use on board

This lamp makes sense in protected interior spaces where losing AC supply would leave a walkway, cabin, or service point dark. Once removed from the charging socket, it works as a portable light for short checks around the boat, rather than as a deck light for exposed areas.

It suits boats with a 230 V AC interior system that need a built-in emergency light point without adding a separate handheld torch to the cabin. The IP40 rating points it toward dry, sheltered locations rather than open exterior mounting.
