Overview
The Vimar VM19602 is a 2-module mounting frame with claws for round 60 mm flush-mounting boxes with a 71 mm distance between centres. It holds two-module ARKÉ inserts in place behind the cover plate, and it can be installed in either a horizontal or vertical orientation.
A transparent thermoplastic body makes it easier to see conductor routing and terminal access while you are wiring. The honeycomb reinforcement adds stiffness, and the corner slots and hooking teeth support clean, repeatable alignment when you are building out a multi-position panel.
On board, this frame is commonly used behind switch banks and outlet points at the helm, in the cabin, or in other interior panels where you want a consistent modular layout. It is a mounting and alignment component, not a sealed barrier, so locations exposed to spray should be handled with an appropriate enclosure or gasketed faceplate.
Key features
- 2-module frame for ARKÉ modular devices using 60 mm round flush boxes and 71 mm centre spacing
- Claw mounting method for secure fixing in the box without screw fixing on the frame
- Transparent body helps with wiring visibility and device positioning during installation
- Honeycomb structure adds rigidity, with corner slots for panel fixing and hooking teeth for series installations
- Supports both horizontal and vertical mounting directions, with inserts fitted from the front side
Compatibility and fit
This frame is sized for 2-module ARKÉ inserts and is intended for round 60 mm flush-mount boxes with 71 mm centre spacing. If you are tying multiple positions together in a switch panel, the built-in hooking features help keep neighbouring frames aligned so the finished faceplate sits flat and even.
Installation and setup
Fit the frame into the 60 mm box and secure it using the claw mechanism, then install the module inserts from the front once the frame is fixed. In a boat panel, leave enough slack for service, keep terminations supported so they do not work loose under vibration, and avoid pinching conductors behind the device.
Materials and onboard environment
The frame is made from thermoplastic, which avoids the corrosion issues you can get with exposed metal parts in damp cabins. Keep it behind the faceplate and away from direct UV and harsh cleaning solvents to reduce long-term brittleness and discoloration.
Maintenance and care
During periodic electrical checks, confirm the frame is still firmly seated in the box and that modules have not shifted after heavy vibration. If the panel has been opened for service, re-check that the claws are engaged and that wiring is not bearing against sharp edges inside the box.
