Overview

The Vimar VM20608 is a 3-module mounting frame for British Standard (BS) flush mounting boxes in the EIKON range. It is the support that holds EIKON modular devices in place behind a matching 3-module BS cover plate, so the finished install sits square and doesn't shift when you press switches or plug in.

The frame fastens with screws and the modules load from the front, which is handy when you need to swap a socket or switch after the box is already fixed in the bulkhead. It can be installed horizontally or vertically, depending on how your panel is laid out.

This is the frame only and it does not include a built-in installation box. Plan for a proper British Standard box at the mounting location, then build out the set with the EIKON modules you need and the correct cover plate for the finish you want on board.

Compatibility and fit

This frame is for EIKON installations that use British Standard (BS) flush mounting boxes. If your boat is set up with a different box standard, the fixing points and cutout may not line up, so it's worth confirming the box type before you commit to the panel layout.

Because it's only the support frame, it does not dictate whether you're wiring 12V/24V DC loads or shore power circuits. That depends on the specific EIKON modules you install and how your system is protected and wired.

Installation and setup

Mount the British Standard box securely in the bulkhead or panel, then fasten the frame using the supplied screws. Install the EIKON modules from the front, verify alignment, and finish with the appropriate 3-module BS cover plate. On boats, give your wiring a little slack and proper strain relief so vibration does not stress terminals over time.

Use on board

This frame fits well in interior switch and outlet groups where you want EIKON modular flexibility, such as nav station panels, cabin entry points, or galley control areas. It also suits refits where you are standardizing multiple locations to the same EIKON look and service approach.

Maintenance and care

Clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid strong solvents that can mark thermoplastics, and rinse off salt residue if the area is exposed to spray.
