Overview
The Vimar Supernova Series S11 90° plug is a 2P+E Italian standard plug for portable AC connections up to 10A at 250V. Its right-angled cable entry keeps the cord closer to the outlet, which helps when a socket sits near joinery, behind equipment, or against a bulkhead.
This is an AC mains accessory, not a 12V or 24V DC fitting. The thermoplastic body uses screw terminals for wiring and carries an IP20 rating, so it belongs in dry, protected spaces on board such as cabins, galleys, utility lockers, and other interior areas away from spray and washdowns.
Key features
- Italian standard S11 format with 2P+E connection layout
- Rated for 10A and 250V AC
- 90° cable entry keeps the plug profile lower and helps reduce hard cable bends at the outlet
- Screw terminal connection for wiring portable leads and replacement plug ends
- Thermoplastic housing with IP20 protection for dry, protected interior locations
- Available in black or white with the same electrical format and connection style
Variants
This product is offered in two configurations.
Housing color is the change across these variants. The S11 format, 2P+E layout, 10A 250V rating, 90° cable entry, screw terminal connection, thermoplastic body, and IP20 protection remain the same across both listed versions.
- VM00211: Black housing. This finish keeps the plug less noticeable on dark panels, utility leads, and service areas.
- VM00211.B: White housing. This finish blends more easily with light interior panels and visible cabin outlets.
Compatibility and fit
This plug suits Italian S11 outlets and equipment that call for a 2P+E 10A, 250V plug. It is a good match where a straight plug would project too far from the outlet, especially in tighter cabin layouts or behind onboard appliances. It is not a sealed connector, so it should not be used where the plug body will be exposed to rain, direct washdown, or standing water.
Installation and use on board
Screw terminals make it practical for re-terminating a portable lead or replacing a worn plug on onboard appliances and dockside-use equipment. The 90° outlet direction helps the cord turn immediately after the socket with less stress at the plug end, which is useful in boats where clearance behind furniture and equipment is often limited.
