The Vimar Supernova S11 is a 2P+E Italian standard plug for 10A, 250V AC connections, with a straight axial cable entry and screw-terminal wiring. It suits boats and onboard spaces that already use the S11 format and need a compact plug for portable equipment, cabin appliances, or replacement cord ends in protected interior areas.

The thermoplastic body and IP20 rating make it a fit for dry, sheltered locations such as cabins, galleys, nav stations, and other interior spaces away from spray and washdowns. This is a 250V AC plug, not a connector for 12V or 24V DC systems, so the main fit check is the outlet standard, the circuit rating, and the location where it will be used.

Across both variants, the electrical format stays the same: Italian standard S11, 2P+E, 10A, 250V AC, IP20, straight axial cable entry, and screw-terminal wiring. The visible difference is the housing color.

• VM00201: Black. This version blends more easily with dark cable runs, black panels, and utility spaces where the plug is meant to stay unobtrusive.
• VM00201.B: White. This version sits more naturally in light-colored interiors, white bulkheads, and brighter cabin spaces.

Compatibility and fit

This plug is a match for boats, tenders, and dockside setups that use the Italian S11 outlet pattern. It is not a universal travel plug and it is not a high-current shore power connector, so the outlet format and 10A circuit rating should be checked before installation.

Installation and use on board

For a clean fit, the cable should exit straight back from the plug body, which helps where there is enough clearance behind the outlet. On board, that usually suits interior receptacles in cabins or service lockers better than tight corners where a 90 degree plug would sit flatter.

This plug is a good match for owners replacing a worn cord end on portable AC equipment or setting up removable leads in protected spaces. In salt-heavy or washdown-prone areas, a connector with a higher ingress rating is the safer choice.
