Overview
The Blue Sea Systems 360 Series Switch CLB Panel is a 12V DC branch-circuit panel range that combines ON-OFF switching with push-button reset circuit protection in one modular 360 Panel System format. It is built for boat electrical panels where lighting, pumps, electronics, fans, or other DC loads need clear control and accessible reset points at the helm, nav station, cabin, or equipment panel.
Each configuration uses 10A push-button reset-only quick-connect circuit breakers paired with SPST ON-OFF rocker switches. The panels include backlit label positions and ON-indicating LEDs, which helps make circuit status easier to read in low light without crowding the panel face.
The range covers 4, 8, and 12 position layouts, with square, horizontal, and vertical orientations available. Meter and non-meter versions are included in the series, so the panel can be matched to the available mounting space and the level of DC system monitoring needed on board.
Key features
- 12V DC switch and circuit breaker panel range for marine branch-circuit distribution.
- Combines SPST ON-OFF rocker switches with 10A push-button reset-only quick-connect circuit breakers.
- Available in 4, 8, and 12 position configurations to suit small accessory groups or larger DC panels.
- Square, horizontal, and vertical orientations help fit different helm, cabin, console, or nav-station layouts.
- Backlit label positions support circuit identification in low light.
- ON-indicating LEDs make active circuits easier to confirm at a glance.
- Meter-equipped configuration includes DC voltage monitoring with a selector toggle for up to three battery banks.
- Uses the Blue Sea Systems 360 Panel System open-frame format, which allows multiple 360 modules to be combined in one panel layout.
Variants
This panel range is offered in five configurations, with changes in position count, orientation, and whether a meter is included.
Across these configurations, the panels are 12V DC units and use 10A push-button reset-only quick-connect circuit breakers with SPST ON-OFF rocker switches. The total amperage rating and panel face size vary with the number of positions and the selected orientation.
- 1455: 4 positions, square orientation, meter not included. This layout suits installations where four switched DC circuits need to be grouped in a panel face that stays short in both directions.
- 1456: 8 positions, horizontal orientation, meter not included. The wider face works well where the mounting area has more side-to-side space than height.
- 1457: 8 positions, vertical orientation, meter not included. This version keeps eight switched circuits in a taller, narrower layout for columns, side panels, and helm areas with limited width.
- 1459: 4 positions, vertical orientation, meter included. The added DC analog voltmeter gives a small four-circuit panel basic battery-voltage visibility, with a selector toggle for monitoring up to three battery banks.
- 1461: 12 positions, vertical orientation, meter not included. This higher-position layout is suited to a larger DC circuit group where a tall panel space is available.
Installation and setup
The 360 Panel System uses an open-frame layout, so these modules can be combined with other 360 components when building or updating a boat DC panel. Depth is 3.50 in across the listed configurations, which should be checked against the space behind the mounting surface before cutting or replacing a panel.
Because these are DC distribution panels, circuit loading, conductor size, overcurrent protection, and battery feed arrangements should be matched to the vessel electrical design. The maximum amperage ratings are 40A for the 4 position versions, 80A for the 8 position versions, and 120A for the 12 position version.
Compatibility and fit
This series is a strong match for boats that need an organized 12V DC switching panel rather than loose individual switches and separate breakers. It is useful for refits, console rebuilds, and new electrical layouts where the owner wants labeled circuit control with resettable protection at the same location.
For a proper fit, compare both the panel orientation and the face dimensions with the available mounting area. The 4 position square panel measures 4.75 in high by 4.88 in wide, the 8 position horizontal panel measures 4.75 in high by 9.25 in wide, the 8 position vertical panel measures 7.75 in high by 4.88 in wide, the 4 position vertical meter panel measures 7.75 in high by 4.88 in wide, and the 12 position vertical panel measures 10.75 in high by 4.88 in wide.
