Overview

The Vimar Eikon is an interchangeable 1-module rocker button cover used to finish the front of compatible Eikon switch or push-button mechanisms.

It mounts with a clamp fit and keeps a low profile on the panel. The face is about 22 mm wide and 44.2 mm high, with roughly 6 mm depth, which helps when you are lining up multiple controls in a tight helm console or cabin switch bank. A monitoring window/light outlet is built into the rocker so indicator or backlighting can shine through when the underlying device supports it.

This part is rated IP40, so it is intended for protected interior locations. On boats it is typically installed behind a dash, in the cabin, or inside an enclosed switch panel rather than in areas that take direct spray or washdowns. The rocker itself is thermoplastic, halogen-free, and finished with a matt surface.

Compatibility and fit

This is a control element/cover plate, not the electrical switching mechanism. It is not intended for touch sensor connector use on a bus system, and it does not determine 12V or 24V suitability since voltage is set by the installed mechanism and circuit.

Installation and on-board placement

Install the switch or push-button insert first, then align the rocker and press it into place until the clamp mount engages. If you use a lit symbol or indicator behind the rocker, keep the monitoring window area clean so light can pass through clearly.

For marine installs, place it where it stays dry and protected, such as a cabin panel, nav station, or inside an enclosed helm console. If the switch bank is exposed to spray, use a sealed enclosure or a higher ingress-rated front end for that location.
