Overview
The Vimar Eikon 20021 is a 1-module interchangeable rocker button cover that can be lighted, used to finish a matching Eikon switch or push-button control on board.
It mounts with a clamp fit and includes a monitoring window/light outlet, so a status light or locator light can show through when the underlying mechanism supports it. The IP40 rating makes it a good fit for protected interior panels rather than areas exposed to spray, washdowns, or deck weather.
In grey, the color matches RAL 7024 (similar) with a matt, untreated surface. The button is made from halogen-free thermoplastic, which suits typical cabin and helm installations where vibration and daily use are common.
Key features
- 1-module rocker button cover for the Vimar Eikon system
- Lightable format with monitoring window/light outlet for visible indication
- Clamp mounting for a secure fit on the compatible mechanism
- Halogen-free thermoplastic body with a matt finish
- IP40 protection level for interior switch panels and dry technical spaces
- Offered in multiple colors and symbol markings to match the panel layout
Variants
This button cover is available in three color finishes: grey, silver, and white.
Symbol options include Standard (no marking), Bell, Light, O/I, and Key. The symbol choice is used to match the function on a multi-switch panel, so circuits stay recognizable at a glance.
Compatibility and fit
This is a control element cover, not a complete switch by itself. It is intended to be paired with the compatible 1-module Eikon mechanism and the matching Eikon mounting frame and cover plate system already installed on the boat.
If you are mixing finishes on the same panel, confirm the series is Eikon across frames and plates so module sizes and clip points line up correctly.
Installation and setup
Installation is typically a front-fit clamp onto the mechanism after wiring is complete and power is isolated. Check that the rocker pivots freely and that the monitoring window aligns with any indicator or illumination point behind it.
When used in a helm or cabin switch bank, place it where it stays out of direct spray and where routine cleaning will not force water into the mechanism area.
Use on board
This style of rocker cover is commonly used for cabin lighting, courtesy lights, freshwater pump control, electronics master switching, and other circuits that benefit from clear panel labeling. Symbol versions are especially helpful on boats with multiple identical modules in a tight switch row.
It is a good match for refits where the boat already uses Vimar Eikon modules and you want consistent markings and finishes across a new or expanded switch panel.
Maintenance and care
Wipe with a soft cloth and mild cleaner. Avoid solvent-based products that can haze plastic surfaces. If the area sees frequent condensation, keep the panel ventilated and address any moisture at the mechanism level rather than relying on the button cover for sealing.
