Overview
The TACO Marine COK-0020-2 is a pair of 12 inch shock cords with roller pulleys for outrigger halyard lines. Each cord helps keep tension in the rigging line while the roller eye lets the line move with less friction during bait deployment.
This is a practical replacement or rigging component for fishing boats with outriggers, especially where halyard lines need controlled stretch and smoother movement under normal cockpit and hardtop use. The corrosion-resistant clasp is suited for the wet, salt-exposed areas where outrigger gear is handled and adjusted.
Key features
- 12 inch bungee shock cord helps maintain tension in outrigger halyard rigging.
- Roller eye pulley helps the halyard line travel smoothly instead of dragging against a fixed eye.
- Corrosion-resistant clasp supports use around spray, washdowns, and saltwater fishing gear.
- Sold as a pair, so both sides of an outrigger setup can be serviced together.
- Useful for reducing friction in bait deployment lines on offshore and coastal fishing boats.
- Backed by a 1-year limited warranty.
What’s included
- One pair of shock cords with rollers
Installation and use
The shock cord attaches to the boat and works with the outrigger halyard line to add controlled tension. The roller should be oriented so the line tracks cleanly through it without side loading or rubbing against nearby hardware.
Before installation, compare the 12 inch length with the existing rigging layout and make sure the line path leaves enough room for stretch, movement, and adjustment. This part is most useful where the outrigger halyard needs to move repeatedly during trolling, bait changes, and spread adjustments.
Care and maintenance
Rinse the cord, clasp, and roller area with fresh water after saltwater use, especially after offshore runs or heavy spray. Check the bungee, clasp, and roller for wear during regular rigging inspections, and replace the pair if the cord loses tension or the roller no longer turns freely.
