Overview
The Garmin 010-12445-32 is a bail mount with knobs and a quick-release cradle for echoMAP CHIRP 7xsv and 9xsv chartplotter and sounder combos.
It surface-mounts on a dash, console, or electronics box and gives you a stable bracket that still lets the display tilt for glare control and comfortable viewing while you are seated or standing at the helm.
The quick cable disconnect keeps the wiring on the mount, so you can seat and unseat the display without re-plugging cords at the back of the unit each time.
Key features
- Bail-style surface mount with side knobs for tool-free tilt adjustment at the helm
- Quick-release cradle with cable disconnect so the wiring can stay on the mount when the display is removed
- Compatible with ECHOMAP CHIRP 72sv, 73sv, 74sv, 75sv, 92sv, 93sv, 94sv, and 95sv
- Made for the echoMAP CHIRP 7xsv and 9xsv family that uses this style of cradle and mount interface
Compatibility and fit
This mount is specific to the echoMAP CHIRP 7xsv and 9xsv line listed above. If your display is from a different echoMAP generation or uses a different cradle style, the fit and latch points will not match.
Before ordering, confirm your exact model name on the bezel or in the unit information screen so it aligns with the supported CHIRP 7xsv and 9xsv models.
Installation and setup
Dry-fit the bracket first and check clearance for tilting and for routing the cables behind the cradle without tight bends. On fiberglass consoles, through-bolting with a backing plate helps keep the mount steady when the boat is pounding or vibrating.
After the bracket is secured, connect the needed leads to the mount, then seat the display into the cradle. The knobs let you set the viewing angle quickly, which is useful when the sun angle changes during the day.
Use cases on board
This setup works well for boats that get trailered or stored frequently, where you remove the chartplotter after each trip or for winter layup. It also suits open helms where quick angle changes matter as you move between running and fishing positions.
