Overview
The Garmin 010-12445-13 is a tilt and swivel quick-release mounting bracket for echoMAP CHIRP 5x series displays. It keeps your chartplotter where you can see it at the helm and lets you adjust the viewing angle to cut glare when you move from sitting to standing.
The quick cable disconnect means the wiring stays on the bracket while the display seats and unseats from the cradle. It fits echoMAP CHIRP 52cv, 52dv, 53cv, 53dv, 54cv, 54dv, 55cv, and 55dv units.
Key features
- Tilt and swivel adjustment for comfortable viewing from different helm positions.
- Quick-release cradle lets the display be removed without undoing the mounted wiring.
- Cable connections stay on the bracket, which helps keep the helm tidy when the unit is taken off the boat.
- Made for Garmin echoMAP CHIRP 52cv/52dv/53cv/53dv/54cv/54dv/55cv/55dv.
- Not compatible with similarly named non-CHIRP echoMAP models.
Compatibility and fit
Match your unit name exactly before ordering. This bracket is for echoMAP CHIRP 5x models (52, 53, 54, and 55 in cv or dv). If your display is an older echoMAP model without CHIRP in the name, it uses a different mount.
Installation and setup
Mount the base on a flat surface where the screen can tilt through its range without hitting a windshield frame, throttle, or electronics box lid. Use fasteners suited to your mounting surface and add backing support on thin fiberglass panels. Route cables with a drip loop and enough slack for the swivel movement, then click the display in place when you are ready to run.
Use on board
This style of mount works well on small center consoles, skiffs, and sailboat pedestals where you want the screen to swing toward the helm or cockpit seating. The quick release is also handy for trailering or locking the display in the cabin while leaving the bracket installed.
Maintenance and care
Rinse the bracket with fresh water after saltwater use and wipe it dry before snapping the display back in. Periodically check mounting fasteners for tightness and keep the connector area free of grit so the unit seats fully.
