Overview

The Vimar Arké 19208 is a flush-mount 2P+E protective-contact socket outlet in the German standard, rated 16 A at 250 V~ (50 to 60 Hz) with an IP20 protection level.

It is built in a 2-module format and snaps into a compatible Arké support before the faceplate is fitted, which keeps the installation tidy in cabins, saloons, galleys, and nav stations on boats wired for 230 V AC shore power.

The socket includes enhanced contact protection and uses a thermoplastic, halogen-free body that suits interior panels where vibration and daily plug-in use are normal.

Installation and wiring

This is an AC outlet intended for 250 V~ circuits up to 16 A. Match the version you select to your wiring preference, then terminate conductors fully and torque or seat them correctly for a connection that stays stable under vibration.

On a boat, install it on a protected branch circuit with appropriate upstream protection for shore power systems, and keep all work aligned with the standards used on your vessel.

Use on board

IP20 is suited to interior locations where the outlet is not exposed to spray or washdowns. A hinged cover helps keep the face cleaner when the socket is not in use, but it should still be treated as an interior outlet rather than a weatherproof fitting.
