Overview

The Lumitec 112522 is an Orbit flush-mount LED down light with white output that dims and a red mode, finished in a white housing for clean overhead installs. It runs on 10 to 30 VDC and is fully sealed to an IP67 rating for damp cabins, cockpits, and hardtop or flybridge ceilings.

Fit is straightforward in tight headliners and fiberglass panels: the cutout is 1.23 in (31.2 mm), the bezel is 1.99 in (50.5 mm) across, and the mounting depth is about 0.43 in (10.9 mm) behind the surface. Power draw is 220 mA at 12 V and 110 mA at 24 V, which helps when you are planning circuits with multiple lights.

Control stays simple. The light works from a normal on and off SPST switch, with dimming handled by a quick off-on toggle during the brightness ramp, then color changes after dimming is set. An off time of about 2 seconds resets it back to white the next time it is switched on.

Installation and setup

Make the 1.23 in (31.2 mm) cutout and fasten the mounting plate to the surface, then insert the light body and rotate until it clicks into place. The bezel covers the cutout and finishes at 1.99 in (50.5 mm) diameter.

Connect to a fused DC lighting circuit and verify polarity before final seating. Once powered, the light can be left at full output for task lighting, or dimmed down for a softer cabin look without changing switches.

This is a solid fit for boat owners who want one small overhead light that can handle everyday white lighting and still switch to red when you are moving around at night. It works well in staterooms, salons, helm areas, and under hardtops where you want a sealed fixture and minimal mounting depth.
