Overview
The Garmin 010-02334-20 is a portable sonar and GPS bundle built around the ECHOMAP UHD 73cv and a Panoptix PS22-TR live sonar transducer, set up to move easily from hole to hole or onto a small boat. The 7 in display uses an 800 x 480 WVGA screen and is rated IPX7, and the chartplotter power input is 9 to 18 Vdc for typical 12 V systems.
For fish and jig tracking you get two different views working together: a High Narrow CHIRP ice transducer (GT10HN-IF) for traditional sonar, plus LiveVü Forward and LiveVü Down from the PS22-TR. The PS22-TR operates at 417 kHz with a maximum range up to 300 ft, and LiveVü Forward is commonly used at distances that are several times the water depth, so you can scan ahead before you reposition.
This bundle comes with a carry bag and a rechargeable sealed lead-acid battery (7 Ah). The battery is rated up to 7 hours depending on screen brightness and conditions, and a full charge from empty is typically 10 to 12 hours at room temperature.

Installation and setup
On ice, the float mount lets you set depth and aim, and it helps to keep the top of the transducer below the bottom of the ice. For LiveVü Forward, the transducer is typically angled forward and slightly down; for LiveVü Down, it is aimed straight down. The PS22-TR beam uses a 120 degree length cone angle, and the width cone angle is 12 degrees with the lens installed or 57 degrees without the lens installed, so small changes in aim can noticeably change what you see on screen.
On a boat, the head unit can be bail-mounted or flush-mounted, and the compass-safe distance is 65 cm (25.6 in.) from a magnetic compass. Plan cable runs so the mount can tilt fully without pulling on connectors, and route sonar and power wiring away from high-noise electrical sources where possible.
Power and system integration
For portable use, the battery is meant to be charged using the all-in-one cable and wall charger, with the charger indicator showing charging status. For permanent or semi-permanent installs, the chartplotter can be wired to the boat battery through an ignition or manual switch, using the in-line fuse specified for the unit.
The chartplotter supports NMEA 0183 wiring through the power and data harness, and it can be connected to a NMEA 2000 network using separately sold network cabling. If you are tying this into an existing system, plan for proper network power isolation and switching so the network does not drain the battery when the boat is off.
Use on board
This setup makes sense for anglers who want one screen they can carry for hardwater trips and then move onto a skiff, jon boat, kayak, or small center console for open-water days. It is also a practical choice when you want live forward-looking sonar at the bow without committing to a fixed install year-round.
Maintenance and care
After use in saltwater or brackish water, a gentle rinse and wipe-down helps keep connectors and the transducer housing in good shape. Avoid solvents on the transducer and skip pressure washing, since harsh cleaning can damage the surfaces that affect sonar performance.
