Overview
The Perko 0541 is a straight-neck vented deck fill for boats using 1-1/2" fill hose and 5/8" vent hose. It combines the deck fill and tank vent in one fitting, which helps simplify installations where a separate hull vent is not preferred or where deck layout is tight.
The fitting uses a chrome-plated bronze cap, a black polymer body, and a stainless steel bead chain to keep the cap attached during fueling or filling. The integrated vent includes a flame arrestor and anti-surge valve, giving the fill practical protection for normal boat movement, splash, and tank breathing.
Key fit dimensions include a 3-3/8" outside flange diameter, 2-1/8" mounting hole diameter, 2-7/16" neck length, and #8 screw size. The range is offered with caps marked for gas, diesel, or water so the deck fitting can match the tank it serves.
Key features
- Straight-neck vented deck fill for 1-1/2" fill hose and 5/8" vent hose.
- Chrome-plated bronze cap with markings for the selected tank service.
- Black polymer body with an integral tank vent to reduce the need for a separate vent fitting.
- Flame arrestor and anti-surge valve built into the vented fill assembly.
- Stainless steel bead chain helps keep the cap with the fitting during use.
- 3-3/8" outside flange, 2-1/8" mounting hole, 2-7/16" neck length, and #8 screw size support straightforward replacement planning.
- DP package includes a mounting ring for installations where splash around the vented fill is a concern.
Variants
This vented fill is offered in multiple cap markings for different onboard tank services.
The hose sizes, straight-neck layout, core construction, and main mounting dimensions remain consistent across these configurations. The change between variants is the cap marking, which identifies the fill as gas, diesel, or water at the deck.
- 0541DPGCHR is marked for gas. This version is used on gasoline fuel fill locations where the deck cap needs to clearly identify the tank service.
- 0541DPDCHR is marked for diesel. This version suits diesel fuel fill locations and keeps the deck labeling distinct from gasoline or water fills.
- 0541DPWCHR is marked for water. This version is for freshwater fill locations where a vented deck fill with the same straight-neck layout is needed.
Installation and fit
This fitting is suited to deck or gunwale locations where the hose can run cleanly from the straight neck to the tank. Before installation, confirm that the existing cutout, hose routing, clamp access, and screw pattern can accommodate the 2-1/8" mounting hole and 3-3/8" flange.
The included mounting ring is useful in areas where spray or washdown water may reach the fill. It raises the opening between the cap and fill by an additional 3/8", which helps reduce the chance of splashed water entering through the breathing vent. It does not make the fill suitable for locations where the cap may be submerged or heavily flooded.
Use on board
This fill is a practical match for builders and refit work where a compact deck fill with integrated venting is needed for fuel or water tanks. It is especially useful on small to mid-size boats where deck space is limited and clean labeling at the fill point matters during fueling, watering, or routine service.
