Overview
The Garmin 010-12672-03 is a tilt/swivel bail mount with a quick-release cradle for compatible 7-inch echoMAP Plus and echoMAP UHD CV chartplotter and sounder units. It uses an 8-pin quick-release cradle so the cables plug into the mount, letting you lift the display on and off without reaching behind the unit to reconnect plugs.
At the helm, the side knobs make it easy to set your viewing angle and lock it down so the screen stays put when the boat is pounding or you are running in chop. It is a practical option for boats where the display gets removed for trailering, storage, or security between trips.
Key features
- Bail-style surface mount with side knobs for quick tilt and swivel adjustments at the console.
- Quick-release cradle design lets the unit seat and unseat cleanly while the cables stay connected to the mount.
- 8-pin cradle format matches compatible echoMAP Plus and echoMAP UHD CV 7-inch models.
- Works well on exposed helms where you need to change the viewing angle to manage glare through the day.
- Supports frequent removal and re-installation without repeated plug wear on the back of the display.
Compatibility and fit
This mount is intended for 7-inch echoMAP Plus and echoMAP UHD CV units that use the 8-pin connection style. Common compatible models include echoMAP Plus 72cv, 73cv, 74cv, 75cv, and 77cv, plus echoMAP UHD 72cv, 73cv, 74cv, and 75cv.
Confirm the connector type on your display before ordering. If your unit uses a different pin count, this cradle will not match.
Installation and setup
Mount the base to a flat, solid surface such as a dash top, electronics box, or helm console, and leave clearance for the unit to tilt and swivel through its full range. When installing on thin fiberglass or composite panels, a backing plate helps keep the mount steady and reduces flex from vibration.
Route the cable bundle so it is supported and does not pull tight when the unit is tilted. A little slack behind the cradle keeps strain off the connectors and makes removal smoother.
Use on board
This mount is a good match for small center consoles, bay boats, and cabin boats where the display needs to come off regularly. It also suits skippers who want a simple viewing-angle adjustment when moving between seated and standing helm positions.
Maintenance and care
Rinse salt spray off the mount and knobs with fresh water after trips and check fasteners periodically. If the mount starts to feel loose over time, inspect the mounting surface for flex and re-tighten as needed.
