Overview

The Raymarine A80701 is a 5 m extension kit for the YachtSense Link 5-in-1 antenna cable set. It adds 5 m to the antenna's supplied 5 m captive cable, bringing the total run to 10 m when extra distance is needed between the antenna and the router.

This kit extends all five antenna connections in the same run: GNSS, Dock WLAN A, Dock WLAN B, Cellular, and Diversity. It is useful on boats where the antenna needs to be mounted higher or farther out on the structure while the router stays in a protected location below.

The cable joints are completed with waterproof joiners, so the extension can be integrated into an exposed marine installation without leaving the connection points open to spray or weather.

Compatibility and fit

This extension kit is for Raymarine YachtSense Link systems that use the 5-in-1 antenna. It is not a general-purpose network lead or a transducer extension, so fit should be checked against the YachtSense Link antenna and router layout on the boat.

It suits installations where the antenna is being mounted on a hardtop, cabin top, arch, or other elevated position and the router is mounted lower inside the vessel. That extra reach can make the cable run cleaner and avoid forcing the router into a less practical location.

Installation and setup

The supplied antenna cable connectors join to the matching extension leads, and each joint is then sealed with the included waterproof joiner. The opposite ends of the extension cables connect to the corresponding ports on the router, so each signal path stays matched from the antenna to the system.

Because the kit includes separate extensions for the five connections, it works best when the full antenna lead needs to be lengthened rather than extending only one signal line.
