Overview
This Attwood Marine swivel bolster bracket is a galvanized steel support bracket for boat trailer bunk and bolster board setups where the board angle needs to match the hull. It is made from heavy 11-gauge galvanized steel and uses a 3.5 inch wide swivel angle bracket that pivots for angled or flat mounting of 2 inch x 6 inch bunk or bolster boards.
The slotted bracket gives vertical adjustment during trailer setup, which helps when replacing worn hardware or fine-tuning bunk height for better hull support. Non-slip dimples help the bracket grip once tightened, and the assembly mounts with a 1/2 inch bolt.
Key features
- Heavy 11-gauge galvanized steel construction for use around trailer bunks, ramps, and wet launch areas.
- Swivel angle bracket pivots for angled or flat mounting against 2 inch x 6 inch bunk or bolster boards.
- Slotted bracket allows vertical adjustment during installation or trailer refit work.
- Non-slip dimples help hold the bracket position once the hardware is tightened.
- Mounts with a 1/2 inch bolt, making it suitable for common boat trailer bracket installations.
- Available in 8 inch, 10 inch, and 12 inch bracket sizes to match different bunk height and support requirements.
Variants
This bracket is offered in three size configurations for matching the height and support layout of the trailer bunk system.
The size and assembled length change between variants. The galvanized steel construction, swivel-style angle bracket, 2 inch x 6 inch bunk board application, slotted adjustment, and 1/2 inch mounting bolt requirement remain consistent across the range.
- 11360-1: Size 8 inch, assembled length 9 inch. This shorter configuration suits trailer setups where the bunk needs a lower support point or where clearance around the frame is limited.
- 11361-1: Size 10 inch, assembled length 11 inch. This mid-size option adds height while keeping the same swivel bracket function for angled bunk alignment.
- 11362-1: Size 12 inch, assembled length 13 inch. This taller version is used where the bunk or bolster board needs more lift from the trailer frame.
Installation and setup
During installation, the bracket should be aligned so the bunk board rests evenly against the hull and does not create a hard pressure point. The swivel angle helps the board follow the hull shape, while the vertical slot gives room to adjust height before final tightening.
This type of bracket is commonly used when rebuilding trailer bunks, replacing corroded support hardware, or changing bunk height after fitting new boards or carpet. Final fit should be checked with the boat loaded on the trailer so the support angle and height match the actual hull position.
Use cases on board
This bracket is a practical match for boat owners, trailer shops, and marine service teams working on bunk-style trailers for fishing boats, runabouts, and other trailered vessels. It is most useful where the trailer needs adjustable bunk support rather than a fixed flat bracket.
