Overview

The Attwood Marine LightArmor LED navigation light is a 2 NM vertical surface-mount sidelight range for port, starboard, or paired red/green installations on 12V boats. It uses an LED light engine in a round stainless steel housing, giving the bow area a clean low-profile look while keeping the red and green navigation sectors clear and easy to identify.

These lights are made for vessels up to 65 ft (20 m) where 2 nautical mile side visibility is required. The housing is water-resistant to IP67, the LEDs are rated for 50,000+ hours, and the LightArmor layout includes color-indicated cores to help reduce wiring mistakes during installation.

Variants

This LightArmor vertical mount navigation light is offered in three configurations for different bow-light layouts.

The main difference is the side and lens color. The stainless steel round housing, vertical mount style, LED lighting, 12V operation, and 2 NM rating remain consistent across the range.

• NV3012SSG-7: Side light with starboard green lens color. This configuration is used on the starboard side of the vessel where a green navigation sector is required.
• NV3012SSR-7: Side light with port red lens color. This configuration is used on the port side of the vessel where a red navigation sector is required.
• NV3012SS-1: Side light set with red/green lens color. This paired configuration covers both port and starboard side lighting for a matching bow installation.

Installation and fit

These lights are intended for vertical surface mounting, so the mounting face should be flat, clean, and positioned where the light sectors are not blocked by rails, trolling motors, anchors, bow pulpits, canvas, or deck hardware. They are a practical fit for bow side-light replacements on center consoles, runabouts, fishing boats, and small cruisers that use separate red and green side lights.

Because the lights are used in exposed areas, wiring should be protected with proper marine connectors, strain relief, and a sealed wire exit. Confirm the vessel wiring is 12V and check the existing light footprint before drilling new holes or reusing previous mounting points.
