Overview
The Attwood Marine 11220-3 is a 4 inch trailer panel bracket and keel roller assembly used to support and protect a boat keel as the hull rolls onto and off the trailer. It mounts to a trailer cross-roller assembly and comes as a complete combination with the roller and bracket together, which helps when you are replacing worn trailer keel support parts rather than mixing separate pieces.
This assembly uses a formed zinc-plated steel panel bracket with a 1/2 inch adjustment slot, so there is room to line the roller up with the keel path during trailer setup. It is a practical fit for trailers already using this 4 inch panel-style roller arrangement and needing the same basic mounting style at the cross member.
Key features
- Complete spool and keel roller bracket assembly for trailer keel support
- Built to mount to a trailer cross-roller assembly
- 4 inch roller format for replacement of matching trailer setups
- Formed zinc-plated steel panel bracket for trailer use around fresh or saltwater exposure
- 1/2 inch adjustment slot helps position the roller under the keel line
- Includes the Attwood 11210 roller with the 11252 bracket
Compatibility and fit
This part belongs on the trailer, not on the boat itself. Before ordering, check that your trailer uses a panel-style keel roller setup on the cross-roller assembly and that a 4 inch roller assembly matches the space and hardware layout already on the trailer. That matters most on replacement jobs where the goal is to keep the keel tracking in the same place during launch and retrieval.
Installation and setup
The slotted bracket gives some adjustment during installation, which helps center the roller under the keel instead of letting the hull ride on bracket edges or off-center support points. On trailers that see frequent ramp use, that alignment can make loading and unloading more predictable and reduce wear at the keel contact point.
Use on the trailer
This assembly is a good match for trailer owners replacing a worn keel roller, a bent bracket, or a setup that no longer supports the keel cleanly at the cross member. It suits routine service on fishing boats, runabouts, and other trailerable hulls that already use this style of keel roller support.
